DCECU Wins Award April 12, 2016
DCECU nationally recognized for top performance in member benefits!
Recent Credit Union National Association (CUNA) research shows that Dow Chemical Employees’ Credit Union (DCECU) has provided an industry leading benefit of $639 per member household. Because of this excellent member benefit, DCECU received the 2016 Member Benefits Top Performance Award from CUNA. The research compared DCECU’s rates and fees to those of national and local banks, and determined that each member household saved, on average, $639 this past year in comparison to the same services from a bank.
We have our members to thank for this award. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, DCECU is only able to provide this great benefit because of the engagement and loyalty of our members. When our member-owners participate in the credit union by choosing us first for their savings and loan needs, they benefit in proportion to the extent of their financial transactions.
DCECU is very proud to serve our members by supporting their financial health; putting more money back into their pocketbooks and our community. We are thrilled to be part of the positive economic impact that comes from the credit union industry. CUNA further identified that members of U.S. credit unions benefit to the tune of $8.4 billion from credit unions. Credit unions provide benefits in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and fewer and lower fees.
