DCECU volunteers clear litter from area near credit union

A heavily traveled and highly visible area within the city of Midland recently received some sprucing up by volunteers from Midland-based Dow Chemical Employees’ Credit Union.

On September 12, five DCECU employees cleaned litter from nearly a mile of the boulevard area near the credit union – between East Lyon and East Patrick roads, from Pine Street to Washington Street, including around the bicycle and pedestrian path that runs through the boulevard – through the Adopt-A-Street program.

“The semi-annual Adopt-A-Street cleanup is a favorite volunteer activity among our staff,” said DCECU President/CEO Dennis Hanson. “The opportunity to beautify our neighborhood is one that we truly value.”
