Help us Stuff the Bus with Garber Chevrolet to benefit local kids!

For the fourth year in a row, our friends at Garber Chevrolet in Midland will be hosting a Stuff the Bus donation drive to collect supplies for early childhood programs throughout Midland County.

Stuff the Bus supports Midland County’s Great Start Readiness Program, Head Start and Early Childhood Special Education – programs offered by the Midland County Educational Service Agency in collaboration with many early childhood partners. In all, 30 classrooms in seven locations, as well as three different food pantries, will benefit from the donation drive.

As we have each year, DCECU and our employees will be making a contribution to Stuff the Bus. And once again this year, we invite our members to be a part of the community giving!

Now through Wednesday, August 14, you can drop off items for Stuff the Bus in the DCECU lobby, and we will deliver all donations from the credit union to the bus at Garber on Friday, August 16. Here are the primary items being collected:

Wide-rule spiral notebooks Peanut butter/jelly
Kids’ scissors Crackers (e.g., Goldfish or Cheez-Its)
Crayons Canned fruits/vegetables
Markers (regular and dry-erase) Soups/sauces
Colored pencils Noodles/pasta
Pencils Instant potatoes/rice
Glue sticks Gift cards
Craft materials Hygiene products
Stickers Paper products
