DCECU stages alternate facilities for potential contingent operations

DCECU has staged two temporary mobile units in our South parking lot which will be made available for DCECU operations should they become necessary. The DCECU single-branch model serves us very well during normal operations. However, in times of business interruption - such as COVID-19 - having a resilient back-up plan is critical. Last May, you may recall DCECU tested our redundant facility plan. We brought in a mobile unit, set it up, opened our doors to members and were able to successfully provide full teller services. Feedback from members that utilized this temporary facility overwhelmingly agreed that it was a good experience.

To date, we have watched the COVID-19 situation evolve very rapidly and DCECU continues to ensure we are prepared for the next wave, whatever that may look like. DCECU is committed and prepared for continuous operations and service to members. For maximum DCECU resiliency, we are making provisions for alternate facilities to provide increased flexibility for social distancing of our staff or in the unfortunate instance where we must enforce staff quarantine or facility shutdown. Having recently tested our facility recovery plan, we are confident of our ability to deliver service to you in this manner.
