DCECU Update: COVID-19 April 15, 2020
As you know, COVID-19 (coronavirus), has created situations and circumstances, that while anticipated, have never been experienced by most of us. DCECU is here for you, from the management of your accounts to providing assistance if you and your family have been financially impacted by COVID-19.
We have temporarily modified DCECU operations, which resulted in the temporary closure of our lobby for walk-in service mid-March. While our drive-thru remains available with limited services, we continue to request that members use self-service channels such as Online Banking, our Mobile App, credit/debit cards, and our extensive ATM network whenever possible.
As we look ahead, DCECU continues to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak and assess our operations daily. After Michigan’s stay home, stay safe order is lifted, DCECU will take a controlled and phased approach towards returning to full-service operations to ensure the health and safety of members, employees and our community. Read more about DCECU’s preparation to return to full-service operations.
We realize that many of you are experiencing financial impacts related to COVID-19, We are here for you and have solutions to meet your specific needs and situation. As of today, we have already helped many members who have reached out regarding their situation, and we have responded to questions and concerns from additional members. We have customized solution options to grant increased access to cash, reduce fee impact, or possibly extend your loan payments. If you are currently experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19, please reach out to our Member Solutions Team at 989 or 800.835.7794 so that we can identify a solution that specifically addresses your need.
While DCECU has members in 49 states and 47 countries, we are based in the Great Lakes Bay Region in Michigan. We realize that there are and will continue to be significant needs in our community. We have made a $200,000 donation to local relief organizations, and in some cases, our donation was matched, further extending the impact of our relief efforts. Strong and vibrant communities provide opportunities for our members and employees and we are proud to do our part in supporting our community during this time. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time. DCECU is here for our members and our community, like we have been since 1937.
